This is one of the most comfortable coffees we offer. It is roasted to a medium level and when brewed you will enjoy a comforting cup with a medium to heavy body, soft acidity and smooth chocolatey overtones.
The concept behind our blend is to highlight the best of two very different coffees. When brought together the coffees compliment each other in such a way that makes for a comfortable yet distinct breakfast blend. The goal for this blend was to create a first sip that brings you to a comforting place with a calm feeling. It’s namesake, Morning Paddle, is our calm and comforting memory. As we enjoy this coffee we’re transported to the lake where we’re walking down the dock to get settled into our kayaks as the sun just begins to peak over the trees. After enjoying a cup, we’re ready for our Morning Paddle.
The base of this blend delivers you its smooth and sweet body and comes to us from Daterra farms who works exclusively with Forward Coffee in Canada. The farm is located near the city of Patrocinio, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This region of the country is known for having fertile land that is ideal for coffee growing. When it comes time to harvest, Daterra sends members of the team to different lots to evaluate the cherry and harvest small batches to strategize on when to harvest each individual varietal and ensure peak timing. To compliment this smooth crowd pleaser, we blend in a fantastic Colombian coffee from Carlos and Felipe Arcila. Their passion for coffee shines through in this field blend grown at Jardines Del Eden, one of the highest altitude farms in the region. The farm showcases growth of magnificent coffee, bananas, plantains and mandarin oranges.
