We are thrilled to be working with Forward Coffee and Felipe and Carlos Arcila to bring you this dynamic yet approachable coffee. Felipe and Carlos were raised into coffee farming by their father and grandfather. They are dedicated and driven to make a positive impact on the lives of other coffee growers. Through shared knowledge and special projects they focus on hand-in-hand success. Their passion for coffee shines through in this field blend grown at Jardines Del Eden, one of the highest altitude farms in the region. The farm showcases growth of magnificent coffee, bananas, plantains and mandarin oranges. Felipe and Carlos purchased this farm with the intention of experimenting and finding new methods and approaches to push the boundaries of coffee. When you taste this coffee we think you’ll agree they are succeeding!
Each cherry is assessed and hand picked as part of a strict harvesting practice. Afterwards, the harvest is fermented in whole cherry for 24 hours in covered ceramic tanks. Following fermentation, the coffee is pulped and gently washed. After being laid on drying beds for 13 days where the coffee is turned and cared for, the process is complete. Once brewed, this coffee settles on your palate with a brown sugar sweetness, subtle hint of red berry and a little jammy finish. If you enjoy a dynamic yet very approachable coffee, this is the Dockside coffee for you!
